BOB

BOB - remind me that a Hong Kong once upon a time catch-n-run movie high time, Best Of the Best. The movie about the urgent special force training which selected from elite among the police resulted from the killing of many special forces when tackled by group of high-profile terrorists. The story is about the training, friendship, bullet-battle surrounded by these youngsters, very typical HK style movie.

Anyway, this BOB is another story, Best of the Blog, which sound logical. (How to be best of the best if it already the best, or it still lack of goodness??!!)

Internet users from around the world suggested over 5,500 blogs in 10 languages to this contest. The international jury of bloggers, independent journalists and media experts created a shortlist of 10 nominees in each of the contest's 15 categories. The nominees were then opened to the public's critical eye for three weeks of voting. You shall have a eye on these real winners.

The Deutsche Welle 2006 Best of the Blogs Awards jury member gave out honors in the BOBs' 15 categories. The top award for Best Weblog went to the US blog Sunlight Foundation. The BOBs jury members said they admired the Sunlight Foundation's work to increase transparency in government and called the project a positive example of how blogs can shape political discourse. The watchblog was also praised for its potential to be adapted for use in other countries. Hoping I living to see such progress within our Malaysian Government really towards such direction rather than shouting “transparency” on air only.

Then, the winner for Best Weblog Chinese category go to Shuweicao’s blog, about a gourmet food journalist is stuck by stomach cancer and forced to have her stomach removed. Yet she decides to continue writing her food blog to convince readers to slow down and enjoy their meals and their lives. A remarkable inspired story really means to all of us.

TOYOTA City Showcase

This post is about the Toyota car showcase I had promised u. i never expected Toyota having so many models, it took me well more than 1.5 hour to finish it!!! I encountered this car show within the shopping mall -VenusFort. I couldn't really understand how its link with Venice places, but definitely this mall really a good place for any female shopping homo-sapien. I didn't really walk around after spotted this car show within the mall. Here we go...

A tree full of monkeys

Life at work is like a tree full of monkeys, all on different limbs at different levels.Some monkyes are climbing up, some going down. The monkeys on top look down and see tree full of smilling faces. The monkeys on the bottom look up n see nothing but assholes.

Don't u feel that way? If not, u're not in the circle of challenge.

Myvi resemble...

Been to Japan for 2-week training, well...ok, I may better claimed it self-study trip instead. Already passed a month actually, a bit late to post it bcoz quite some incidents happened recently.

Anyway, will make it few series, stay tune...

Went to shopping area at Odaiba and encountered a car show at a shopping enter,unexpectedly, lucky me! Car show... i think should put it as Toyota Car Showcase, i never expected Toyota having so many models, it took me well more than 1.5 hour to finish it!!! OK, fine, most of my time is taking photos, shot here and there.

Here we go... This 1st post is about what to my first concern now, oh yeah... it's about my beloved Myvi. :p

Knew that it actually re-badge model from Toyota Passo and Daihatsu Boon, this time is my first encounter to really touch its predessor - Passo. I think P2 really did some works before launching it at M'sia arena, after all, it receiving superb response and recorded high time 100,000 units for merely less than a year.

There are quite some number of differences to our "passion" here. Name it from the front light design, bonnet, backlight, the big butt, alloy rim etc. Interior clearly we could know that the differences including meter cluster, glove, nice double-colour trimming, car radio, more cup holder located at handle side. Most important, the big TOYOTA logo at center of the steering, I always dream to have one. :p

A very much difference people must easily to notice is the gear knob located below the steering, which giving out hefty space between passenger and driver seat. Japanese car offering auto gear version, usually. Should I say that all car there actually come with AT transmission only bcoz i never see a MT transmission car, yet. I think the center spacing should able to slot-in a picnic baggage. :p Another advantage should be the passenger and driver can easily inter-change with each other, or for some in-car activity. :p

Think most to our concern shall be its price tag, isn't it? Well... here a shot 1,100,000++!!??
But rest assure, Japan car is rather cheap if compare to here, it's around RM36.3K only. But notice that it actually 1.0 Liter variant.
